Where's the Flying Dutchman? Other than that, good job on the ship and the stormy water. You bested me on the water. btw, the reason i asked the question is because the Cape is actually where the Dutchman is said to haunt during storms like this one.
I've made many ghost ships, however I avoid to make directly the "Flying Dutchman" considering it too trivial. In another work a deviant recognized a ghost ship from Chile - the "Caleuche" and this is how I like it, people to have freedom for imaginative interpretation. This exactly work is an illustration for a book and there are other ships there. "Cape of Good Hope" is known best for the extremely bad weather and so it is in the book, and in my work.
Superb piece... Dauntingly taunting towers of ocean walling their way, surrounding the ship. Wanting to swallow, not knowing this warrior of wood will leave a nasty aftertaste. Victory will be on the side of pirating hands, leading this stunning crusader of the sea towards her destiny
Thanks dear. Yes wanted a classic diagonal composition. Btw today a man from South Africa told me in another site, that although he likes the picture, the weather right now is fine there, not a sign of a storm Yet this cape is really "Cape of storms" and sure I needed it as this is an illustration.
