As a complete newcomer to fractals and fractal art I am a little confused. The caption underneath this image says Entirely done in UltraFractal 5.04. I have seen many other excellent examples of raysheaf's work with very realistic images of boats buildings etc. How is it possible to make images of such realism just using UltraFRactal 5? I am not looking for a step by step instruction just a general idea of how this can be done.
There are some tutorial in my Tutorials section for realistic objects in UltraFractal with parameters. In it I reveal some techniques. Sure if you find a formula that at once gives you in the same time the form and the artistic look, use it, but I explain practically how you can cut from basic Julia any form.
Thanks very much Stefano. It's all a bit too advanced for me at the moment - possibly for all time! It was however very interesting to get an idea of the approach you use. It must take quite some time and knowledge to produce your finished compositions.
Thank you! Good that you pointed this... By looking for Douglas Reeman's books found a Russian site with about 20 writers and many of their books in electronic fromat and almost every book is provided with translations in several languages too.
